Weekend Reads: JHud brings the house down

I didn't watch Hairspray live, but I did see Twitter erupt when JHud performed "I Know Where I've Been." So I Googled until I got too tired and just looked it up Thursday morning. Could there be a more timely musical? A more moving, sadly necessary song this season? It moved me, despite the low production quality and silly wigs. I hope it moves you, too.
