Because I'm Happy
I'm usually pretty happy. I have the best friends in the world. I have an apartment that makes me smile most of the time. I have bookshelves full of books that inspire me. I live near the ocean. I like to watch the clouds pass by. Blue sky is beautiful. I like making things and giving them to people (mostly cookies). I like finding the perfect card for someone's birthday / shower / Tuesday and imagining what they look like when they open it. I like listening to music and can occasionally be found dancing home from the gym b/c my playlist just makes me want to move. Flowers make me smile. Bright colors brighten my day.
At a job (where I was actually not happy) at an annual review, I was told that I smile too much. Literally. That was feedback. Apparently my smile made me less profesh. Well, that jerkface was a sourpuss, so I'm glad I didn't take the advice to heart, I just found a job that appreciated my smile.
So, because I'm a happy gal, this song is just too good not to share. It's ubiquitous. It's everywhere. It's been around for awhile now, but I still smile every time I hear it. Whether you're feeling happy or not, I bet seeing all these people dancing will make you smile.
