The Beastie Boys MCA, Adam Yauch, died of cancer this week. I loved the Beastie Boys, grew up a little late for them, just a couple years, so my first album was Intergalactic. Loved it. How weird were those videos? But also, how awesome? MCA was the most vocal Beastie Boy when it came to their conscious. He was impressively devoted to causes that really mattered to him. His passion made an impression before I even knew what Tibet was. Such a loss.
